AI will take over history-taking, differential diagnosis, and documentation, so each clinician sees more patients, but prescribing and signing off stay with licensed professionals, and as a licensed workforce that costs less than physicians, NPs are not hit before doctors are. The oversupply of graduates is separate from AI.
