AI already produces sketches, renderings, concept variations, and 3D prop assets, with CAD agents close behind, so junior production work shrinks first. Judging prototypes and working out trade-offs with engineers remain human work, so the decline comes later than in graphic or UX design, but no licensing offers a buffer.
