Mechanical Engineer: what AI changes and what stays

A mechanical engineering job usually starts with a four-year degree heavy on calculus and thermodynamics, then an internship or two before anyone hands you a real design to sign off on. AI is already strong at the calculations; turning a rough idea into something a machine shop can actually build is still the harder half.
