About the test
What it asks
The questions cover two areas: how much you use AI, and how you hand off work to it. Someone who asks in a chat window and someone who hands off whole tasks may use AI just as much, but they work very differently.
- Usage5 questions
Whether you use AI for your core tasks, how many times a day you give it a task, and how much of your work it handles
- Skill5 questions
How you hand off work, whether AI knows your rules and materials in advance, how you check its output, whether routine tasks run on their own, and whether you split work across several AIs
New questions every month
AI tools change within a month, so each field gets questions picked for this month. This is the October 2026 edition, and it only covers tools and methods you can use where you live. 791 jobs are grouped into 31 fields.
How the grade works
Your answers become a score from 0 to 100, which is placed on your field’s reference curve to show where you would stand among 100 people in your field. The smaller the number, the higher the grade. #1–4 are Grade 1, ‘AI Native’, and #97–99 are Grade 9, ‘Caveman’. The higher grades also require the way of working that goes with them. It is not a ranking against other users’ answers.
