AI and apps will first take over private tutoring in music theory and ear training, after-school content classes and adult hobby lessons, so instructor hiring feels the pressure first. Performance lessons and teacher quotas hold things up, but a degree does not guarantee a teaching job. Fewer teacher appointments reflect the shrinking school-age population, not AI.
