AI auto-verification of test results and AI-assisted reading of digital pathology and cytology slides cut entry-level analytical lab jobs first, and the alternative clinical research associate (CRA) path is hit even sooner. Blood draws, ECGs, and tissue processing need human hands. The stalled lab staffing seen so far owes much to instrument automation.
