Studio instruction is face-to-face, but generative AI is cutting illustration and design work, which weakens demand for art-school entrance prep, and after-school content classes are moving to AI tutors, so instructor hiring shrinks first. On the teacher path, the hiring exam and legal staffing quotas slow the change.

Major lifespan is the time left until AI is expected to start shrinking hiring of this major’s graduates. It doesn’t mean the major will disappear or that everyone will lose their job.
